Brayden turned 6 on March 1st! I can't believe he's so old!! It was the first time we've had to send him to school on his birthday and I wasn't sure how I felt about that! I wanted to spend his whole birthday with him not share him with school but he went anyways! We started the morning with cinnamon rolls before carpool picked him up. (And I had asked him if I could take him for his birthday and he turned me down! Already too cool for Mom I guess?!?)
Our birthday boy with his breakfast.

He got to wear a birthday hat in kindergarten. He took rice krispie treats for the class to celebrate his birthday.

After a lunch of McDonalds, he went back to school for an assembly. The school participated in the Jazz Reading contest and they placed in the top 10 of all schools so they won ice cream for the whole school and a Jazz player to come and read with them. Paul Milsap was the player who came and now Brayden is POSITIVE he's the best player on the Jazz! He also gave all the kids autographs and Brayden thought that was just SO cool! It's a prized possession!
After that we headed down to Orem and went Miniature Golfing at Trafalga and then went and played games and rode the carousel at Provo Beach Resort in the Riverwoods.
And of course when asked where he wanted to go for his birthday dinner, Tucanos was it! We went a bit early so we could get back for his party with our family and a couple friends. He asked for his favorite...chicken hearts and with it being his birthday, they cooked him up an entire skewer and put them all on his plate! It was the first time he hasn't finished all his chicken hearts!
A plate of chicken heart and pineapple!
We came back and got ready for his party. He's learned how to blow balloons up so he helped.
We had Grandma & Grandpa Leavitt, Aunt Torey & Uncle Dan, Uncle Kellen, Uncle Logan, Aunt Stephanie, and his best friend, Kylie Goodrich and her family over.
He requested that I make the cake and he wanted a Star Wars cake with Darth Vader. I tried my best and here's the finished product. I have a few things I wish I would have done differently/better but it worked and he was happy!
Of course we had to stick Darth Maul and Annakin on the cake too.
Opening presents. This kid got a LOT of Star Wars Lego and other Star Wars themed items.
Grandma and Grandpa Petersen sent him money and his first Magic Tree House Book. He's enjoyed reading it and is looking forward to collecting them all.

Brayden and Kylie...she turned 6 the next day.
Blowing out the candles.
We love you Brayden! Hope you enjoyed your Star Wars birthday!
