Today we enjoyed the nice weather and Grandma Petersen being here to watch Easton and took Brayden outside to play with Mom and Dad! We thought we'd fly his kite since it was pretty windy but the wind was too strong for his little kite! We had to pull out the big box one that Brian and I have had since our first year of marriage! This was the best we've ever been able to fly it! We started out flying it in our culdesac and then moved onto the golf course behind our house. It worked a lot better there! (Thanks Betsey for letting us cut through your backyard!!)

The $1 Buzz Lightyear kite didn't last too long!

The big box kite

In the culdesac still, trying to get the kite up!

See how high we got it?!?

Look closely and notice Brayden wearing his gardening gloves and also that ALL the string is gone off the spool! We had it as high as it would go and then Brayden, being the three year old that he is, LET GO! Brian ran almost the length of two holes on the golf course to get it! Thank goodness the string got caught in a tree or we would have never gotten it back! Needless to say, we'll be watching Brayden more closely next time we let him fly a big kite!

Brian took over the job of flying it after running so far to get it back!

While Brian was flying, Brayden found a golf ball and kept himself entertained!

One of the best parts of the day was going inside after having fun out in the blowing wind and sitting down to a WONDERFUL meal cooked by Grandma Petersen/Brian's Mom!
