San Francisco

Brian had to work in San Francisco last weekend. I'm going to save the long explanation and say that Brayden and I ended up tagging along too since the company paid for my airplane ticket! It was a little last minute but we really had a fun time. We flew in on my birthday (Feb 22nd) and had a few hours to play around before Brian had to be at a team meeting that evening. We drove down to see AT&T park where MY San Francisco Giants play and missed shopping at the dugout store since they had closed 20 minutes before we got there! :( After that we continued down Embarcadero street to Fisherman's Wharf. Since it was my birthday we went and ate at Alioto's and had a wonderful dinner of crab, tuna, sourdough bread, and salmon. (The best salmon I've ever had!) Brayden loved his first taste of crab! We were seated right in front of the window so we had a gorgeous view of the wharf, San Francisco Bay, and the Golden Gate Bridge. It was such a pretty view at sunset!

The rest of the weekend while Brian worked, Brayden and I played in the hotel room, walked around the city, and went shopping! All kinds of fun stores like Crate and Barrel, Bloomingdales, Nordstrom, Adidas, Niketown, H&M, and Macys were right by our hotel! It was my first time at a H&M store (they had 2 right by our hotel!) and I found all kinds of fun things for all of us! We ended up not going out and seeing many sights because everytime I went out I saw police officers (some in regular clothes) arresting people on the street right in front of me! Needless to say I decided to stay close to our hotel when it was just Brayden and me.

Our last night in San Fran we went to a fun little Italian restaurant called Cafe Tiramisu that was down a cute little alley (like something you see in the movies) with everyone Brian was working with that weekend. The atmosphere was so fun! Brayden was so good and enjoyed sharing Daddy's lamb dish and Mommy's lobster and crab stuffed ravioli. My ravioli had caviar sprinkled on it and Brayden seemed to really like it! We figured we'd show him the yummy things in life early! :)

Overall we enjoyed our time in San Francisco and want to go back again when we'd have more time to explore the sights. Sorry there aren't more pictures...it rained almost the entire time we were there!

Now you can see the scoreboard and coke bottle!

Brayden's first trip to AT&T park...hopefully more will come and during baseball season! Go GIANTS!!!
