Brayden's "almost" run INTO Steve Young!!

Shane (a great friend of ours that Brian taught on his mission) recently moved to Salt Lake and we've been enjoying seeing him more than the usual once a year! Now that he's here, he finally got to meet Brayden and they've become good buddies. We affectionately call him "Uncle" Shane. We've seen him a few times since he's been here and those times have provided some funny experiences!!

The first one was when we went to Tucanos for dinner a few Monday nights back. After stuffing ourselves with the delicious meat and pineapple (nothing else there matters!), I wanted to go next door to Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory to get a carmel apple for later. (I was WAY too full to eat it then!)

So I go up to the counter and decide what I want, while Brian, Brayden, & Shane are playing right outside the door. Brayden decides to come into the store and in the doorway meets STEVE YOUNG! Shane promptly picks him up and mutters, "Sorry." Steve Young replies something to the affect that it's alright and walks out. (Sorry Shane, I've forgotten the EXACT reply and EXACT details of the night...I'm doing my best to relay the story!) Brian and I both noticed who it was but hadn't said anything yet. So I walk up to Shane and Brayden and slap Shane on the arm and say, "Do you know who that is? That's Steve Young!" Brian chimes in with, "You do know who that is Shane, right?" (Since he's only been a part of our crazy Mormon culture for almost 7 years.) Shane did know who he was though!! And we all made phone calls to tell others about our run-in with fame!

So while getting my carmel apple and talking to the two girls who were working there, we found out he goes in there all the time! Now I'm not encouraging stalking him or the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory but if you happen to be in there, keep your eyes open! Then you'd have a cool Steve Young story to tell too!

In honor of Brayden's "almost" run in with Steve Young, we thought we'd post a couple photos of him! If only he was playing still...the 49ers could use some talent! Those were the glory days!!
