Brayden's 1st Birthday!

Brayden celebrated his 1st birthday on Thursday, March 1st! (His golden birthday I guess?) Grandma Petersen, Grandpa Petersen, Aunt Carrie, and Uncle Kellen all came into town for his birthday! We had lunch at Cafe Rio with Grandma & Grandpa Petersen & Aunt Carrie. Then after a nap we headed down to Orem to see Great Grandpa & Grandma Petersen and then went to the mall to have his picture taken. (They turned out really cute!) Then we hosted dinner at our place for both our families and then opened presents and ate cake. Brayden loved the wrapping paper more than the presents until it came time for him to open a soccer ball from Grandma & Grandpa Petersen! Brian and I gave him a Backyardigans Pirate Ship bath toy and also a wagon. It's been a little cold but he's had a few wagon rides in the house and even a couple outside! Brayden LOVED the cake and ate and ate and ate! He even shared some with Grandpa Petersen, Grandpa Leavitt, and Aunt Torey. Here's a few of the 200+ pictures we took that day!

We had decorated our house after he went to bed on Wednesday night so when he woke up in the morning he was excited to see the balloons! We had this little birthday hat for him but he didn't want to wear it.

We enjoyed waffles with him for his birthday breakfast.

Like I said, he really enjoyed the wrapping paper! And this is what we call his "O" face...he's been doing that the last few days.

Brayden and Uncle Logan....they're best buddies!

He just loved the soccer ball and was carrying it around the house for awhile. We're still working on actually kicking it around the house!

Our little family....we ate the mint choclate cake and gave Brayden the regular chocolate cake with all the fun sprinkles.

We helped him blow out his candle....he kept trying to grab the flame though!

He started out eating the cake with just a couple of fingers and was really nice about it at first.

After being nice about it he just started shoving it in!

Don't worry, he didn't eat all that cake! Uncle Logan and Uncle Kellen wanted some of that cake instead of the other one the rest of us ate.

Grandma Leavitt encouraged him to play "Patty Cake" and it was really cute until he started pounding the cake a making a HUGE mess!

Brayden and Daddy before they headed to the bathtub!

We just think this face says it all! He's happy, just eaten a lot of sugar, and is getting cleaned up so he can go play with his new toys.
