Hawaii Day 5: Zipping

We were SO excited to go ziplining!  A former co-worker of Brian's lives on Kauai and is a part owner in a zipline and tubing company and he has always told us to come over and check it out!  It's called Kauai Backcountry Adventures. So we told him we were coming and he hooked us up with ziplining on Friday and tubing on Saturday.  He even came out and ziplined on our tour with us which made it even more fun and entertaining!  The land they lease to zipline is owned by Steve Case (founder of AOL) and is pretty close to being the center of the island and pretty close to Mount Waialeale which is the 2nd highest spot on Kauai and one of the rainest spots on earth!  It averages more than 452 inches of rain a year!  The clouds and fog were covering our view of it most days but we did see it once or twice during our stay.  Our ziplining consisted of 7 different ziplines and we gradually worked our way down the mountain and to a spot where we had lunch and could have swam in the river if it wasn't raining!  It started raining on the last zip of the day.

It was a BEAUTIFUL place to zipline!

A little perspective of  how high up we were.

What a view!

One of guides showed off his pose while going across!

The last few ziplines of the day we were able to go off however we wanted so I went backwards off this one.

You can see how it was raining as Brian went across the last zipline of the day.
