Today was a pretty normal Sunday for us. Brian stayed home from church with the boys since they aren't quite 100% healthy yet and I didn't want them to get something new while their immune system was recovering. I went by myself and was reminded how quiet and lonely sitting in Sacrament meeting is without my boys! It was nice after the long week of single parenthood I had but I missed them too. I didn't have to worry about getting Easton settled into nursery so I enjoyed ALL of Sunday School! Then I was able to teach my MiaMaids a lesson on our Heavenly Father that I think went well. I tried a new method of getting them to participate in the lesson and it went so well that we hardly made it into the actual lesson! I got them talking and discussing what we know about our Heavenly Father and about how our lives are different because of the knowledge we have that we are daughters of God. I was happy with how it went which isn't always the case.
I came home to happy boys ready to have lunch with me and then we all had naps! Gotta love that part of our new Sunday schedule! Made dinner, played hide-n-go seek, and had friends over to visit. Now the boys are quiet and it's almost time for bed!
Now for the pictures of the day...there's quite a story behind this cowboy's costume. He got it for Christmas which was 16 days ago. Today was the FIRST time he's finally decided to wear it! He wanted nothing to do with it until now! If you've read about our last Halloween, you know he pulled a similar situation with his dragon costume. He has shown us that he is NOT his brother who loves to dress up and pretend. He has made it clear that he wants to do what HE wants to do. Tonight the boys were playing with their wooden guns that Betsey, Caleb, Josi, & Jake gave them for Christmas and Brayden got Easton wearing his cowboy hat. With both of them wearing their hats I thought I'd try putting Easton's boots on and see what he thought. He loved them so I got the vest and the chaps and he was a completed cowboy! And a pretty cute one at that!

This shows how the chaps work...it's all velcro and a little too big still but it works!

He made me happy by chosing to finally wear the costume I've had for him since about November! I got a great deal on it after Halloween at Crazy 8.
