Our teaching moment today...FIRE SAFETY!

Brayden apparently decided to put his puppet on top of his lamp (and a cd was on top of the puppet, on top of the lamp) and leave the lamp on when he went to preschool! Luckily I went in about 30 minutes before preschool ended to put something away and noticed the burning smell and the lamp on. I can just imagine what could have happened if I hadn't!

So in a few minutes when he gets home from preschool, we'll be having a talk. A talk about fire safety, proper uses of our lamps, proper storage of toys, and turning off all things in our rooms when we aren't in them.

END OF DAY UPDATE:

The rest of our day was a BUST! I've been fending off a cold that just seems to keep coming and it hit me this afternoon. To make matters worse though, about 15 minutes after preschool ended, Brayden started complaining of a headache and I felt his head and he had a fever as well. So much for going and running our errands! The boys had naps, I tried to get a nap, and then later in the evening Brayden threw up! Not in a bowl, not in the bathroom, on the CARPET! I just about lost it having to clean it up! He felt fine an hour later so hopefully tomorrow is a better day for us!

I decided to spare you pictures of the sick people in the house and let you see Easton tonight! He always wants Brayden's "sick bed" (his blankets and pillow laid out protecting the couch from bodily fluids) and tries everything to get up there. Making him his own doesn't seem to do the trick so we came up with a new creation...bed in a laundry basket! I tell ya, the laundry basket is a hit around here lately! He was pretty cute all cuddled up in his laundry basket!
