Here's only SOME of the pictures from our camping trip! The reason for going to Seattle this time was that we had a family reunion and went camping at Fort Warden (near Port Townsend) for two nights. (The reunion was only a few days but we turned our trip into over two weeks!) We're ashamed to say it was Brayden's first time camping! (We went camping a lot before he was born but just had never got the courage to take him!!) Brayden made it through with only one cut on his finger and slept GREAT in the tent! (Who knows why we were so afraid to take him?!?) We had a really good time and LOVED all the fun camping food we had...dutch oven chocolate cake, banana boats, smores, biscuits/breadsticks, Thomas Kemper rootbeer, steaks, corn on the cob, tin foil dinners, and CRAB!
Brayden was SOOO excited to go on a "ferry boat!" He couldn't get enough of it!
We were hoping to find crabs or some kind of life on the beach but NO luck!
The very first attempt of the trip at building a sand castle...Brayden wouldn't let it stand for a minute!
I could never get him to stop and smile for a picture! He was WAY too into digging and playing in the sand!
I love this picture of my guys!
Brayden learning how to roast a hot dog!
Brian decided that this log needed to be back in the water so he started the process...
...and it ended like that.
My attempt with Brayden at building a sand castle and a family of turtles. He couldn't handle NOT destroying them!
Brayden was doing his best to get water for our little castle's moat but if you look closely, you can see there's a hole in the bucket.
He did manage to get some water!
He enlisted Dad's help and this has got to be one of my favorite pictures of the trip! Look at both of their BIG smiles! I LOVE my boys!
Beth, Grandma, and Brayden warming up by laying in the sun!
After some attempts at a sand castle with Brayden, Brian and Bruce took on the challenge and created quite the castle! It had a moat and everything.
Bruce and Brian standing in their finished masterpiece!
Time to let Brayden have at it! After being kept away from it for so long, the smile on his face shows how excited he was to get his hands on it!
Brayden and I warming up by the fire one morning...still in my sickness phase of this pregnancy! Brayden now knows what "hot cocoa" is after this trip and is constantly asking for it!
Brayden trying to figure out why Uncle Bruce and Aunt Beth wouldn't come out of the tent or let him in! He LOVED sleeping in the tent and was SO good!
Since the beach we were camping by had NO crabs, we had to stop at another beach on the way home to find one! Brayden had been asking for crabs since we told him we were camping at the beach! (He also ate an entire Alaskan King Crab leg for dinner one night!)
The closest Brayden would get to actually holding it!!
The three of us on the ferry boat after our fun camping trip!
