We started off day 2 of our trip by going to Reptile Gardens. We heard how they have TONS of reptiles and we weren't disappointed! I've never seen so many types of snakes and many of the ones they have are ones we've only seen on National Geographic. They said at one time they were told they have the most extensive collection of anti-venom in the world because they have so many different varieties of snakes. I didn't take as many pictures of the various reptiles as Brayden did! He probably snapped a picture of almost every animal! We saw all the animals they had and then enjoyed a snake show before leaving. The snake show was very interesting. I didn't expect to be like 3 feet away from a rattlesnake with only a 12 inch high barrier of fiberglass in between us! We had front row seats and I think looking back, I would have chosen differently had I known! At one point one of the other kids watching the show, raised his hand and asked the guy to put the rattlesnake away! I think we were all nervous!

Giant Galapagos and Aldabra Tortoises

Maniac their 15 feet 8 inch giant saltwater crocodile from Australia

They have this large dome that lets natural light in and there's one room where there's lizards running around freely (and the mice they put in for them to eat), exotic birds, and snakes. I loved the bright colors of the animals.

On the grounds they also had a prarie dog exhibit. The boys and I enjoyed getting a close look at them eating their peanuts.

Gotta love the tourist photo stops!

Our family at Reptile Gardens

The crazy snake guy who did the show.

Some kind of venomous snake. We did learn all kinds of info from the show, even though I think we were all nervous! And this picture shows you how tall the barrier was!

A cobra hooded up. Brayden loved seeing this in person.

The Prairie Rattlesnake
