Since we were more than halfway to Rapid City when we went to Reptile Gardens, we continued on towards it in hopes of finding some decent food! A big thing we learned from our South Dakota trip: most things aren't open in the fall! I wish I would have read that somewhere online when I planned our trip! In the little city of Keystone, SD where we stayed, there were only 3 options for eating. Luckily our hotel had breakfast in the morning otherwise I don't know what we would have done! For lunch the first day we ate at Mount Rushmore and some of our group had buffalo since they were trying to be adventurous. Our first night we ate at the only pizza place open in Keystone and it was good but nothing amazing. So when we went to Rapid City for lunch after seeing all the animals, we were SO happy to find a Wendys! Finally something the kids knew and we could enjoy knowing what to expect and not taking chances. After lunch, we drove to the Dinosaur Park we had heard about and Stephanie had heard about from when she served her mission there. The boys were excited about it. We followed signs and drove up a hill and saw it. Brian and I laughed that we drove out of our way for this waste of time but the kids enjoyed it and some of our pictures provide some funny memories.

We worked off our lunch at Wendy's by climbing all the stairs to get up to the top of the hill to see the dinosaurs!

Easton wore himself right out working to get up those stairs!

Trying to get eaten by a dinosaur!
