Our Day at Woodland Park Zoo

The day after Bruce got home, we all went to the Woodland Park Zoo together! We were excited to show Brayden all the animals since we've been working on animal sounds! (He can currently do the cow and horse sounds!) It was fun to all be together and enjoy the wonderful weather they had while we were there!Brayden enjoyed seeing all the animals from the comfort of his stroller while he held the map!
We thought this gorillas cuddling were SO cute! I can't believe they can sleep like that! Guess they don't mind each other's morning breath?
Everyone but Grandpa enjoyed a ride on the carousel....he was the picture taker!

Brian's favorite animal of the day....the Komodo Dragon.Brayden got to sit on the komodo dragon statue outside the exhibit.
We really enjoyed watching the elephants play together. We caught the end of a elephant talk with a zoo keeper, so we learned some fun facts listening to him. This is a picture of Hansa (the baby) and Chai (her mother). Hansa sadly ended up dying just a few days after we visited the zoo! Here's a link to an article about Hansa's death.
In the little kids section of the zoo, Brayden enjoyed sitting up on this tractor and pretending to ride! We were disappointed in the petting zoo they had there....only 4 goats! But Brayden had a fun day and enjoyed his first visit to the zoo!
