After almost 5 years of marriage...

...and a lot of convincing on Brian's part for about the last year, I finally decided I could take the plunge and that we'd buy a house! We signed the contract on a brand new twinhome in Eagle Mountain on Tuesday! It's right on the Ranches golf course (which made the deal for Brian!), and the twinhome community comes with a fitness center, clubhouse, basketball court, tennis court, parks, and a pool! They haven't even dug the hole for the house yet so we'll be able to pick all our colors, flooring choices, etc. (That made the deal for me!) I had a hard time deciding if I really wanted to live out in Eagle Mountain but we decided 1) that it's just as far away from the freeway as we are now, 2) the area out there is growing like crazy, 3) there are tons of kids and young families out there like us, and 4) you get a lot more for your money!!

They gave us the date of September 28th but said that was really conservative and that they are hoping to have us in our place sometime in August! Now we just have to wait! We are thinking we'll probably not have them finish the basement and finish it later as we need the room. The total square footage will be just over 2600 square feet but we'll only have about 1600 finished, so that will be 3 beds and 2 1/2 baths finished when we move in. When we get around to finishing the basement, there will be room for a bedroom, bathroom, family room, and storage.
