Hawaii Day 4: Getting to Kauai, Our 10th Anniversary, and Helicopter Ride

We got to Kauai late Wednesday night and went straight to our hotel after grabbing a rental car.  We stayed at the Kauai Marriott Resort.
This was our view from our room when we woke up on our 10th wedding anniversary!
Here we are at the airport about to get on our helicopter.
Brian getting all buckled in.  We were daredevils and chose to go in a helicopter without doors!  And somehow I wasn't nearly as afraid of doing this as I was to fly over to Hawaii!

We're all buckled in and ready to take off!  We had the backseat to ourselves and the other couple on our ride were squished up front next to the pilot.
We flew right over our hotel!  We stayed in the building closest to the bottom of the picture.
We saw ALL of Kauai during our ride.  Above is what the tree tunnel road that leads to Poipu looks like from above.
One of Kauai's MANY waterfalls!

The waterfall used in the movie Jurassic Park that is now named, Jurassic Falls.
and on the right and below, we flew OVER the top of rainbows!  Never thought that would happen in my life!

Here's how we looked in the backseat.
The Grand Canyon of the Pacific...Waimea Canyon.

 My cute hubby!
Na Pali Coast...only viewable by boat or helicopter.  It was beautiful!

We thought that looked like the perfect beach spot!

More rainbows that we flew over...this time double rainbows and over the ocean!  It was BEAUTIFUL!
Lots of fun sea caves and things to explore on the Na Pali Coast.

The above cut out in the rock was used in the latest Pirates of the Carribean movie.
Kauai even has waterfalls that go into the ocean!
Ke'e beach...we snorkeled there during our trip.
 Tunnels beach
Hanalei Bay and at the top left corner of the picture is the St. Regis Princeville Resort where we enjoyed our anniversary dinner that night.

Wailua Falls
After our wonderful ride.
Jason was our pilot and our fanny packs were our floatation devices had we crashed in the ocean.  It was a lovely way to celebrate our 10th anniversary!
