Brayden's First Day of Preschool

Today was a first for us! Sending our little man off to preschool! Brayden has been SO excited and has been talking for at least a few years about going to school! (If you remember, his 2nd birthday was school bus themed!) He's been asking when preschool started for the last few days and finally last night we told him he just had "one more dark night." (That's how we count the days in our family...like Dad will be home in three more dark nights, etc.) At dinner last night we were talking about preschool and he told us that we could eat dinner without him because he'd be busy at preschool! Then when he was talking on the phone to Uncle Logan, he told him that he wouldn't be coming over because he'd be busy with his homework from preschool! Poor kid has no idea that he won't get homework this early on! (I'm thinking we'll just have to work on some worksheets at home so he thinks he's doing homework!) Needless to say, Brayden has been VERY EXCITED!!

Brayden sitting at the table all ready for breakfast. He requested cinnamon rolls with blue frosting and orange juice so that's what we had! The minute breakfast was over, he was ready to go to preschool! We had to calm him down for a couple more hours though!
Finally about 30 minutes before preschool started, we put on the backpack and went to the porch to take pictures of our "little preschool man." When I say that he quickly says he's not my little preschool man!

He's growing up so fast and is such a handsome little guy!

Finally after the Mom-imposed photo shoot...we took some family shots...

We sat on the porch for a few more minutes and practically had to tie him down so he wouldn't take off to preschool without us! His good buddy, Zach, came over and we snapped a picture and then walked the boys to preschool!
Brayden was totally over having his picture taken so this was the best I got of him with Zach!

He had a great day and Mom and Dad enjoyed the two hours we had to spend time with Easton and get a few things done! Afternoon preschool is going to work great because Brayden's gone during Easton's nap time so Mom and Dad (when he's home) get a nice break! We were right there ready to pick him up a few minutes early and he was excited to come home and open his backpack and tell us all about it! We then headed down to Provo to take him to the BYU Bookstore to get the BYU shirt he's been asking for (he ended up with 2 shirts and a sweatshirt though!) and then to Pirate Island Pizza to celebrate his big day!

We love you Brayden and are so glad you love preschool! We can't wait to see all the new things you'll learn and all the fun you'll have this year in school!
