Brayden turned 2 on Saturday and we had a really fun day! (We took tons of pictures and this is just the 1st post containing pictures from his birthday!) We started the day off by having breakfast at IHOP with Aunt Stephanie, Uncle Bruce, and Aunt Beth. A little later we met Stephanie and Bruce at Kangaroo Zoo. (It's a place that has a bunch of blow up/jumping toys and adults get to play too! Those pictures are coming later!) We came home and Brayden napped while Mom (with some help from Stephanie!) spent 3 hours decorating the School Bus cake! (Ugh!) It turned out pretty good and then some of the family came over for the little party! (Besides people already mentioned we had Grandma Leavitt, Aunt Torey, Uncle Logan, and Great Grandma Price join us!) We had dinner, opened presents, and ate cake, cookies, and ice cream! He seemed to really enjoy his birthday and I'm sure birthdays will only get to be more and more fun as he grows up! (Stay tuned for other posts with more pictures!)

Our birthday boy sleeping!

We are working on him showing two fingers when asked how old he is and that's his attempt!

He was very excited to see all the buses! (He ABSOLUTELY LOVES BUSES!)

The product of three + hours of work!

We also had stop light cookies!

He got a San Francisco Giants shirt from Grandma & Grandpa Leavitt!

Great Grandma & Grandpa Leavitt included balloons in his card! Of course we had to blow them up then and there!

He also got a Giants blanket form Grandma and Grandpa Leavitt! (With all his Mariners gear, we had to even the score!)

He got two puzzles for his birthday and both are played with daily!

This was his reaction to seeing this...

He was so excited with his tricycle from Mom and Dad!

With out any prompting he already figured this out! Maybe we have a trick tricycle rider on our hands!

Getting Birthday Hugs from the Aunts and Uncles!

And finally the part he was waiting for...the school bus cake!

He sang with us as we sang "Happy Birthday" to him!

He was so excited when he blew out the candles! He clapped and then asked to blow them out again...which we did only one more time!

Enjoying all of Mom's hard work! We gave him the back of the school bus to eat!

Hi Petersen Family!
We found your blog from Marc and Stacy's blog. You are such an adorable family. Jamie you did a GREAT job on Brayden's cake!!
I have been feeling so guilty because I am the one that broke the Bunco streak. We totally need to have a bunco reunion. I am EXTREMELY impressed with your baking skills. That was such a cute idea, especially the little traffic lights.
What a great Birthday! Can you believe you have a two-year-old?!
