Grandpa Petersen wanted to take Brayden fishing for the first time so Friday afternoon we went and saw Grandpa at his office and then followed him to the secret destination. All Brayden knew was that Grandpa had a surprise for him and he was EXCITED when he saw that he was going fishing! The trout farm had quite the setup going! They provide everything you need and you pay based on the length of the fish. They also clean it and everything so we got to explain to Brayden about how fish die (and bleed) when you take them out of the water and clean them. It didn't help that the fish farm guy left the fish's beating heart out on the table right in front of us! Apparently they continue to beat for like 30 minutes! Anyway, it was a FUN time and Brayden LOVED it! He didn't quite have the patience needed for fishing and kept taking the line in and out of the water but maybe next time we're up there? Or in a few years?

After having the bait stolen a few times, a couple of bites that we missed, a fish was finally on the line...
Brayden celebrates EVERYTHING he does! I think Grandpa thought he'd jump right into the water during his celebration dance!

I think he was having a staring contest with the fish head!
Of course you have to eat what you catch and doesn't he look excited about it?!?

Hey! I just used my fav. sugar cookie recipe and then split the dough in half. Did one green and the other red. I used different sizes of circle cookie cuters and choc. chips for the seeds. Im so sorry I didn't get back to you about yesterday. We had fam in town and it was crazy. Lets do it another time.
