I'm going to try and blog our Hawaii trip before I forget all the details of our dream vacation! Brian and I just took a trip to Oahu and Kauai to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary! It was our first real vacation trip not associated with a work trip and the longest time we have gotten away together without the boys. It was AMAZING!! We have 1000 pictures/videos from our trip so sorry in advance for the picture heavy posts to come! I have tried to narrow it down a bit!

Our first look at Hawaii
We flew into Honolulu and grabbed our luggage, got our rental car, and we were off! Our first stop was Hanauma Bay. It was 30 minutes from the airport in the opposite direction of our hotel and had certain operating hours so we just went straight there. We grabbed our suimsuits, paid our admission, bought towels at the gift shop, watched the mandatory video about protecting the bay and not touching things and then we were in the water with the fish. We bought a waterproof digital camera before we went and it did a great job on our trip. We used it more than our other two cameras that we took.
I think this is the only time we got a picture of the Hawaiian state fish, the Humuhumu-Nukunuku-Apua'a.

We stayed at the Marriott Ko 'Olina resort during our time on Oahu and while we were driving there the first night, I snapped this picture of Tripler hospital. My Mom was born there and I grew up knowing that she was born "in a pink hospital on a hill in Hawaii" so it was fun to actually see it in person.
